Kim Wheaton

Kim Wheaton is a painter who works in oil, acrylic, and mixed media (including cold wax and paper). She creates both realistic and whimsical paintings that play with light, texture, pattern, and color. Common themes in her work include birds, trees, the sky, old cars and trucks, people, and animals. Before becoming a full-time artist, Kim was an ecologist working on issues of biodiversity conservation across the southeast US.
