“Truth to Power” is an annual community juried show focusing on matters of social justice. The title, derived from a 1955 Quaker pamphlet, “Speak Truth to Power” illustrates a commitment to voicing our diverse truths to the systems and individuals shaping the society in which we live.
This exhibit marks our fourth annual show about social justice.
The exhibit is intentionally broad in scope so that each artist may address issues of personal, local, national, and/or international importance.
The exhibit is open to all North Carolina artists working in 2D and 3D media. Each artist may submit up to two entries for consideration. There is a $20 entry fee per artist.
Truth to Power 4 will run from July 13 to August 7, 2016, with a Third Friday Reception July 15th from 6-9 pm.
This year’s Truth to Power exhibit will be juried by Wesley Hogan, Duke University, Director, Center for Documentary Studies.
